What this site is, and what it is not
This page carries the disclosure, the age restriction, the limits of the information published here and the support routes that matter more than any page on the site.
Affiliate disclosure
The partner link on this site - in the masthead, in the call-to-action bands and, on some pages, beside the copy - is a sponsored link to a partner operator. It carries rel="sponsored noopener" and target="_blank". If a reader opens an account through it, this site may be paid a referral fee at no additional cost to the reader. The relationship is disclosed on every page rather than only here, and on this desk the disclosure has an obvious edge to it: the site is paid when an account is opened, and the desk’s subject is the money behind the deposit. It does not influence what is published - there is no ranking, no review and no comparison of operators anywhere in this series, and no operator is described as a good one.
Adults only
Gambling is an adult activity, and access to the products described on this site is limited to adults by the terms of the companies involved and by the law of most jurisdictions. This site is written for that reader and is not intended for anyone under 18 - or under the legal gambling age where they live, if that is higher.
The limits of what is published here
- Not advice. Nothing here is legal, financial, credit or debt advice, and no page describes a reader’s position or recommends an action. It is not advice about a borrowing decision, a dispute, or how any operator’s terms would be applied to any particular set of facts.
- Not a credit product. This site does not lend, does not refer to a lender, and describes no facility, card or instalment plan as suitable for anything.
- Not current terms. Rates, classifications, settlement intervals, facility charges and the funding prohibitions themselves differ between lenders, operators and jurisdictions and change by publication. Every figure here is labelled illustrative and its arithmetic is shown so a reader can check it against their own statement.
- Not a dispute service. This site cannot act for anyone, contact a company or a lender on anyone’s behalf, or influence an outcome.
- No offer or solicitation. Nothing here is an invitation to gamble or to borrow, and no page is directed at a jurisdiction where the content would be unlawful.
The risk, stated plainly
Every gambling product is built with a margin in the operator’s favour, so the expected result of play over time is a loss, and no reading of a funding rule changes that arithmetic. Borrowing money to stake adds a second loss that is not a probability at all: interest and fees accrue whether the wager wins or loses, they are owed to a party with no exposure to the outcome, and they are not returned by any resolution of a gambling account. Never stake money you cannot afford to lose, never borrow to play or to chase a loss, and never treat a credit facility as a funding option. Money spent on gambling is spent; money borrowed for it is still owed.
If you need help
Deposit limits, loss limits, session reminders and self-exclusion tools are free, they work, and licensed operators are required to provide them - the series’ limits desk explains what each one does and how to switch it on. On this desk there is a second route worth naming, because borrowed money is where the harm concentrates: free and confidential debt advice exists in most countries, alongside the gambling support services, and a national gambling helpline, a gambling support charity, a debt advice service or a GP is a reasonable first step. The same routes are open to the people around a player, and both a self-exclusion entry and a limit can be set by one person about their own account.
Content and accuracy
This site is written and generated as one desk in a series. Its figures are illustrative, its structure is drawn from the published mechanisms of account terms, payment classification and credit regulation, and it is revised by adding to the series’ own content plan rather than by quietly editing claims. Where a number could be read as belonging to a named company, it is not used. Corrections are made at the level of the mechanism, because the mechanism is what this desk is for.
